Ten Ten Ten Part 2

Its a rainy evening here in Sugarcane Village, I can say the same for Kota Kinabalu city. Its been raining every evening this week, making it hard for me to go home quickly.

Today I attend church mass like usual, Homily by Father Michael was a pretty simple but important in our daily lives… the core subject was about “Thankfulness”. Learned about how seriously sick people cured and came back to community with heart filled with thankfulness.

Put aside the chronic disease that is life threatening, there is one more cause that made people ill. Father told us that if we have no peace in our heart, we are easily broken down emotionally, and illness will get the best of us.

I’m glad and thankful to live and survive for 24 years now, there has been many things happened that made me sad and got so low. But I learned from mistakes, and carry on my life.

And later in my Sunday class, we learned that it is not easy to be very “good”, there’s always the obstacles and temptations we encounter along the way. We talked Mother Teresa the other week, how she looked through the bad things people had and always smiled to them, I remembered back about her and tried to find quotes by her.

“I see Jesus in every human being. I say to myself, this is hungry Jesus, I must feed him. This is sick Jesus. This one has leprosy or gangrene…I serve because I love Jesus.”

Mother Teresa has been an inspiration to people, her kindness spread peace in everyone she met in her lifetime. I found her poem while I was searching information about her, a wise advice from her about our lives…

Do It Anyway
People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind,
people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful,
you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank,
people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building,
someone could destroy overnight.
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness,
they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today,
people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;
Give the best you’ve got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis
it is between you and God;
it was never between you and them anyway.

Have a nice day today, and the days to come.
