Back in the chibi(a Japanese slang word meaning “small child.”) days the colours were all white; play and school, typical for a very fun loving kid like me.

As shown in the photo, it was May 22 1995; the last year I spend living in Brunei before moving back to Sabah the following year. Me with my little brother was playing on these little sand-gravel “hill”. I was pretty sad to leave the beautiful places in Brunei and also my friends that I knew; but all has been decided and we moved on.

Sugarcane Village, was such a peaceful and green village before the ravages of technology and development eat it all away, piece by piece…

The photo was take earlier than my picture above, this is the same house in which I lived in today, minus the keladi growth, the trees and major renovation of the house itself. I think the house may see the 4th generation in the coming years, that… in case apocalypse didn’t come too early.

This early days in which I associate with the colour white, is about being a kid who loves to play and go to school. Today I kept wondering what my little sisters saw in their own eyes, would they still remember their childhood days after many years has passed?

If the memories are a bad one, just keep it away and never take it back. Focus on the bright side, and you will be okay.

Thats why we have photograph. The latest technology now makes it even easier to take pictures for everlasting memories. But its fun to be there rather than looking at the photo, but that would be impossible 😛
